STEAM

Our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) programs help Club members build skills, broaden horizons, and connect to pathways they likely would not consider or pursue otherwise. As one of our 7 year-old Club Kids said of our LEGO Robotics program, “It made me think I might want to be an engineer when I grow up!”

We engage our Club Members in project-based, experiential and targeted learning and exploration of activities like robotics, coding, video production, 3D printing and more to build transferable skills and competencies that could lead to careers in the STEAM space.

We run our STEAM programming through a broad network of collaborative partners that includes: East Metro STEAM, NE STEAM Coalition, Oregon Robotics Tournament & Outreach Program (and their LEGO Robotics program), Future Filmmakers (in partnership with Comcast), AKA Science Program (in partnership with Impact NW) and CS First. These partners continually provide innovative programming activities to best equip our Club Members for a rapidly changing world and jobs of the future.
