Spring Break at the Clubs, March 23 – 27, 2020

This year, we’ll be operating three Club Hub locations that will host all-day activities for 1st-6th graders, including sports, arts, and STEM. Lunch and snack will be provided.

We know that many families in the communities we serve rely on the Clubs to provide enriching activities over Spring Break, coming up this March 23-27. It is important to us to stay open and provide a safe place for youth.

About the Club Hub Structure

Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metro is working to meet the needs of our youth and families this year by providing Club Hub locations for families to attend over Spring Break. We are planning to open three Club Hub locations for youth in grades 1-6. However, if there are not enough registrations for one of our Club Hubs by March 2, 2020, we will be unable to open the under-registered site.

Teens in 7th-12th grade should check in with teen staff at their Club site to find out about off-site activities available over the break.

Due to our tight restrictions, families must pay in full by March 2, 2020. We will need to register at least 30 families per site in order for Club Hubs to remain open

We unfortunately cannot provide scholarships for youth this year.

Where are Club Hubs, and how will they work?

We will be operating three Club Hubs for youth members in 1st-6th grade to attend. Youth who are not Club members are welcome to attend at the visitor rate.

North Clackamas students attending Oak Grove Club at Riverside Elementary, and Lot Whitcomb Elementary are encouraged and welcome to register for a Club Hub within transportation distance from them (The Wattles Club with transportation to Blazers Hub, or Rockwood Hub will be closest to our North Clackamas sites). Middle School students at Rowe and Alder Creek will need to check in with teen staff at their Club for spring break activities.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide transportation to most Club Hubs and families will be responsible for arranging a way to get to and from their Club Hub. However, if you would like to participate in a carpool with other families, our Youth & Family Services staff are happy to work with you to make these community connections.
