Who We Serve
Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland serves young people 6–18 years old. Our school-based programs are restricted to the age range of the students attending that school.
Please note: Children must be at least 6 years old and in the first grade to be able to attend the Clubs.
For a low yearly fee, kids have access to a wide variety of programs that build character, enhance education, cultivate creativity, encourage fitness and teamwork, and teach important life skills.
We keep our membership fees low so that all children have the opportunity to belong to our Clubs. As a not-for-profit organization, we are fortunate to have partners and donors who enable us to employ trained professionals and to offer a wide array of programs.
To support the diverse needs of our families, the following membership dues structure will be in place for the 2015/2016 program year:
- Youth ages 6- 12 – $25 for the one child in the household and $5 for each additional child
- Youth ages 13- 18 – $5 per person
- Active Military Families – membership is free with completion of military affiliation form. Please fill out the form and email it to email@example.com to receive your coupon code for free membership. You can also print and turn in this form to your Club with your paper membership.
Scholarships & Financial Assistance
We believe that all kids should have the opportunity to participate in Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland programs. Financial assistance and scholarship are available for membership dues and program fees.
Assistance for Membership Dues
We do not require members to complete an application to receive financial assistance for yearly dues. If membership fees cause any hardships, we ask that families reach out to their Club Director directly to determine a payment option that works best.
Scholarships for Program Fees
Scholarships are available for supplemental program fees. To apply for a program scholarship, please fill out the form below and return to your Club Director.
