For more than 70 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metro has been at the forefront of youth development, providing school year and summer programming for youth in the Portland-area.
Boys & Girls Clubs offer a wide variety of impactful and enriching programs and services for youth ages 6-18 including Education & Career Readiness, Health & Wellness, Character & Leadership, Arts, Sports & Recreation, and Family & Community Services.

Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available to families who qualify, contact your Club to discuss eligibility. All scholarship applicants must provide proof of income.
Sibling discounts are offered for elementary school aged youth.
Become a Member
We are accepting online and in-person membership applications for the 2020-21 school year. Please note that due to limited group sizes, and operating as an Emergency Childcare, interested families must complete the application process and spots are not guaranteed.
Members must be 6-18 years of age and in grades 1-12.
We have transitioned to a monthly fee system for our elementary and middle school youth. Membership fees for elementary youth are calculated on an equitable fee scale, which ranges between 2-4% of household income.
- 0-50k, monthly payment ranges from $20-$84 per month
- 55-85k, monthly payment ranges from $137-$213
- 90-120k, monthly payment ranges from $300-$400

We have transitioned to a new payment system called MyClubHub, which you will use to manage your registration online in the future.
Due to current safety regulations and limited group sizes, we are currently accepting online applications, which must be processed by Club staff. Submitting an application does not guarantee you a spot; Club staff will notify your of your admittance.

Memberships may be completed on paper and paid in full via cash or check for no fee. Pick up an application at a Club, or download one below and return the completed application to your local Club.
Paper memberships may be accepted but the processing fee will still be applied. Cash & check payment plan options vary by Club location. Talk with your Club for details.

Membership
What are membership dues?
Any youth who would like to participate in Boys & Girls Clubs programs pay membership dues for enrollment. Membership dues are valid from September-August and allow access to the Club after school, Monday-Friday, and on some no school days. During school breaks (winter, spring and summer break) will be offered for additional fees.
What does my child’s membership include?
BGCP is a youth development organization that offers programs and activities that include arts, sports, STEM, education, academic supports, career readiness, leadership skills, mentorship. Members also receive a meal and snack daily.
How long is a membership valid?
Memberships are paid on a monthly basis, but calculations for annual loyalty discounts start on September 1. Membership will continue until you cancel and are calculated at the start of each month.
Is attendance required for membership?
Because of COVID-19, we must maintain small, stable groups for youth. We ask that your child attend at least three days per week.
Are memberships valid at all Portland-Metro Clubs?
Yes. All memberships are valid at any Boys & Girls Club Site in the Portland-Metro area with the exception of school-based locations in North Clackamas School District, including Oak Grove, Alder Creek, Lot Whitcomb, and Rowe. Speak with your Club Director about the transfer process.
Can my child visit a Boys & Girls Club without membership?
Due to COVID-19 we do not currently allow drop ins.
We usually have drop in options, as well as some programs open to our community. We hope to resume programs as soon as we are able. If you have questions, please contact your local Club.
- Meal programs are open to all youth in our community ages 0-18 during designated mealtimes.
- Athletics Leadership Leagues are open to 1st-6th graders interested in sports programs; you do not need to be a member to register for Fall Basketball, Winter Indoor Soccer, or Spring Flag Football Leagues.
Cost & Payment
Are there payment plan options?
As we have moved to a fee scale, monthly membership, all payments are now on a monthly basis. If your income circumstances change, please contact the Club to adjust your monthly rate.
Are scholarships available?
BGCP will continue to work with families to offer discounts to families who qualify for financial assistance. Our sliding fee scale is calculated based on your household income.
- Scholarships are limited and priority will be given to regularly attending families.
- To receive a scholarship, all families must fully complete a scholarship application and provide proof of income.
For the 2020-21 school year we are asking families to complete an application process.

Are there other costs for Boys & Girls Club programs?
Yes, BGCP offers specialty programs and experiences that come with additional costs. Examples include day camps, athletic programs, field trips and special opportunities.
